OT: Peter, thanks for The Onion link. The story headlined "Dead Iraqi Would Have Loved Democracy" makes the point all too well. How many Iraqis would have voted to get rid of Saddam when the cost was the destruction of their cities and many thousands of Iraqi dead and wounded? But the people of Iraq never got to make that choice. George Bush made it for them. Bush is like the rapist who says I did it because I knew she'd enjoy it. In my view, this war will be a disaster for both Iraq and the U.S.
