I think their fit is not as good after the NVLS acquisition of SFAM. They are now head to head competitors in CMP. I also think that there are two top flight management teams and a combined entity would lose close to half of them. Both management teams have their hands full competing with AMAT and trying to increase the number of niches they address with their tools. I would rather hold shares of NVLS and LRCX than a combined entity. LRCX will not be added to my list until they establish a leading position outside of etch.
