Bogged Down at the New York Times
By Ann Coulter

Just five days into the war in Iraq and the New York Times was hopefully reporting that despite a thrilling beginning, American troops had gotten bogged down. This came as a surprise to regular readers of the Times who remembered that the Times thought we were bogged down the moment the war began.

You are changing the subject, Bill. My observation is that I don't recall Wilson ever arguing we should impose democracy by force. I think this position was the opposite.

You respond by asking me where has the US imposed democracy by force. Obviously, a different topic. My first response is that we have generally been the opponents of democracy (Iran in the 50s, Central America in the 50s, 70s, and 80s). But that's a discussion we had sometime back on this thread.

I gather your Ex complained that when you thought you were losing an argument you changed the topic.
