Finding such people in your life is a large blessing scot , and one of the nicer aspects that comes out of Christianity is this sense of present and immediate loving communion that is woven into the ritual ...that in and of itself becomes even more important than scripture , if the congregation is sincere and devout and tolerant .

so simple a thing to say that the spirit of christ had something to do with spiritual brotherhood , transparency, openess and love ?

As for this "Brian /Elect "---->I have had a vision of him stuck alone out in the remote forestry areas, up in a fire-watch tower pouring over all the dates, times and every event in the scritpture he can find that can be interpreted to wall people off from each other and their creator .He is a clown , thinking he has found some truth , but not so clever a little monkey as all that . Scripture in the hands of these is a dangerous thing...he needs some fellowship and communion with Christ rather desperately.<G>

The true historical Jesus , is just ok with me even without the miracles . Hope you enjoyed the parallel sayings of Buddha and Jesus and the story of the Lillies and the sermon of the flower. There is great fellowship throughout Buddhism too, many similar experiences of kindness, shared respect and caring .

The vision and teaching of Buddha is impossible to ignore in todays world , for it was like Jesus based on elementary ideas of mental health , proper attitudes , cherishing of life and compassion .

Just juggling 300 things right now , but appreciate hearing your story , sounds very good .

PS: I think the "Chosen Ones " a fabulous idea for a sit-com , even if I did dream it up myself !
With a spin-off called the "Mustard Seeds "!

hehe
