I am very unhappy with their premiere guy, John Burns. I hear him on "Charlie Rose" every night, where Charlie treats him like Moses coming down from the Mountain. He is sitting on his butt in Baghdad, taking handouts from the Minister of Propaganda, and telling us how badly the war is going. That's not fair, LB - Burns has been a bright spot in NYT reporting, sometimes the only bright spot. He has been doing great stories, mainly about how Saddam's hold on the population of Baghdad has been cracking. Burns sounded exhausted last night. Massive bombing is no joke when it's coming down near you, and I'm sure it colored his outlook.
