Bill,
We make missteps. They make missteps. Everybody makes missteps. On this thread it seems, our missteps take precedence and are examined with a fine tooth comb. WE ARE NOT PERFECT. I am willing to be held to a higher standard but how high is a relevant question. Sounds like the israeli dilemna--the two great satans going around and screwing up the world. Time for that walk and perhaps a weekend off from posting. Mike

Plus, we offered them the equivalent of $15bn in cash and loan guarantees--they thought that we could do better and they ended up with zip.

Serves them right.

No oil, no cash, relations with the hegemonic hyperpower that did the Lindy around their shenanigans at an all time low...I'd say the Turks really screwed up, not us.

I'd say we saved a lot of $ thanks to the Turks' vacillation.
