There may be some sort of a misunderstanding a-brewing... Commercials and small traders long vs. large specs short? That's unusual.

Commercials tend to be people who take the opposite side of the trade for "non-commercials". The reason they tend to be right is because the crowd - which initiates most trades - tends to be wrong.

It seems that this time they were "forced" to go long along with the small traders because the large specks took a relatively large short position... while all this action is taking place on an unusually small volume.

The above suggests that the commercials being long this time may not have the usual bullish implications.

Also all IMO, of course (who else's...? -g)
