Basra was "clearly nowhere near yet in our hands," British military spokesman Col. Chris Vernon told Sky News television. So, what? Neither is Baghdad. This is a war. It takes time. But progress has, in at least to me, been nothing short of amazing. We went through this in Afghanistan. Two weeks in, everyone was talking about what a mess we'd gotten into. Of course, nothing was further from the truth. It is the same thing. You have a liberal, anti-American news media, making every effort to make matters worse. All I can say is that if I had to choose sides I know which I'd rather be on.
