Hawk, No offense taken. You were disagreeing with a portion of an article i had printed. I actually know nothing about the battle of stalingrad--military history stuff not my strong point. Your point on vietnam yesterday was a good one too. But i do suspect we still would have found a way not to win there. Perhaps there were no rummys and tommys then and too many Westys and MacNamaras? I know we will never be told the whole truth in times of war, but back then not even a kernel??? mike
