Ahh, now I see what is sticking in your craw. You don't want to cede the "Wilsonian" label to the Neocons. To you, it is a good term, representing the best of the old Dem party.

I never had any use for Wilson, and agree with Buchanan's assessment of him. He altered the outcome of WWI so badly that he caused WWII, IMO.

But I guess I had better lift the "Wilsonian" banner high and claim it for Bush. Then I can say that you are nothing but a dirty old Taft Isolationist.

Oh, the burdens of an the imperialist power! I don't know much about Iraq, hopefully someone else will describe this as what I think it is - oversimplified categorization of the people of Iraq. Western powers learn the names of two or three communities in a country and they think they know it all. When in it comes to India, everything is described in terms of Hindu-Muslim conflict or the caste system.
