"And then think about why Bin Laden and Al Qaida targeting the US on 9/11 (or at least their excuse for doing so).."

The administration has not demonstrated any evidence proving that Bin Ladin had anything to do with 9/11. If Saddam had WMD, why has he waited since 1991 to use them or to give them to Bin Ladin to use? DO you think Al Quada wouldn't have loved to have received them?

Even the head of the CIA admitted to COngress that they cannot find any link between Saddam and Bin Ladin.

"So one can readily add in the $100 Billion in physical damage, as well as multi-Trillions in lost stock market value, to the cost of containment we've already suffered.."

WHere does the 100B in physical damage c ome from? The stock market plunge came from 9/11 and the abysmal economy, not the containment of Saddam.

Much of the cost of war cannot be measured. We have lost much of our international comradery and good will among our allies. We no longer have any moral leadership among the nations of this earth because we have invaded a country that had not attacked us.We have severely damaged the relationships with many of our trading and business partners. The economic damage done from those factors alone cannot yet be fully calculated.

IF an increase in terrorism is initiated then the costs of our war on Iraq will be catastrophic.

Finally....if you have lost a loved one in this war then there is no measurable system by which we can ascertain the cost of that loss.
