The last point I disagree with you on. The Palestinians position isn't any more extreme than it was. They are just showing their true colors again. Find me a moderate, please. As far as tactical error goes, that is difficult to say. It could have been that Saddam fooled the inspectors for 3 months and was able to pull off an attack and then it would been shown that waiting was a tactical error. Might be a tactical error not letting Israel drop a A-bomb on Saddam. Personally I would rather avoid that possibility.
