It lies in the eyes of the beholder. One can see the rudiments of the all-inclusive in some of the previous posts by Alan to this deranged one "Elect". I choose to see this , and whether death is abolished is not my concern . Americans eating a little less would help them live longer and more fruitful lives though .I choose to believe in the mysteries of grace and the soundness of Saint Paul's words. Do you have any idea how patently absurd it is to believe that Jesus was even by the largest stretch of the imagination , the first man to come along that had an "epiphany" , or peak experience in his life ? Confined just a little as he was by the built up rituals and prophecies of his tribal ancestry. So he rebelled against them all , even Caesar... but was not forsaken in the end ? Or that he felt the touch of the Holy Spirit ? Or was moved to preach and make commentary by polemics and parable on better living ? The miracles were surely added in later , this is plain to see. The similarities between the sayings of Buddha 500yrs earlier and Jesus are striking to say the least , wouldn't you say ?I choose to believe in the mysteries of grace and the soundness of Saint Paul's words And of course Pauls hallucination is more the relevant than any other because it is all you wish to view or accept ? It did go very ill for the Jew the following 19 centuries , so I guess Pauls hallucination was not strong enough or had many flaws and sins woven into it's ministry...so Welcome to religion. I have been to the theatre and watched Shakespeare , and to the ballet and have been moved as much too, and seen others moved as well... and have stood alone in the deserts as well, and my experience tells me no such man ever had such a monopoly on grace...but by the conspiracies of the ages that you see occurring in both Christianity and Islam. If there was anything preordained , it is this fundamental belief that each trys to garner for themselves the keys to the kingdom. Would you like to illucidate a little further on these mysteries of "Grace" and tell me why you think there is a monopoly on them in your particular religion ? And all it's contradictions ?" The son of God is the same as the son of man; the son of man is the same as the son of God. God, the father, is the same as Christ, the son; Christ, the son, is the same as God, the father. This language may appear confused to unbelievers, but Christians will readily understand it. If we believe absurdities, we shall commit atrocities. -- -- Voltaire, quoted from John E. Remsberg, The Christ
