You see, Dick Cheney used to run Haliburton. And now, he is Vice President. Obviously, Cheney is in control of the letting of any such contract, and being the scoundrel that he is, he surely wants to let his old oil buddies in on any deal.

I know there is some mistake here...


Actually, the word is that the HAL bid was not competitive and that's why HAL pulled it back but not to worry, one of HAL's subsidiaries won an award on Monday to extinguish oil fires, and they can't wait to get the money. I wonder if Cheney helped them with their bid? What do you think? He sure is MIA a lot........he must be doing something.
