That's great news. Wind and solar are the ultimate clean energies. They're infinite and free once you get them up on-line. Carter invested many billions in solar but Reagan came in and scrapped the whole thing. Cut funding 100%. Boy could we have used that solar energy. Now we'll need a new president then start to rebuild, bigger and better than ever. Deserts do have uses. solar and wind. And they can be used to create hydrogen fuel to run our cars. But only with a huge new committment after Bush-Cheney. Will create a lot of new jobs too.

Wind power is definitely hitting the mainstream now. Wind is cost competitive with traditional sources of power like coal and nuclear (probably cheaper than nuclear when government subsidies and decomisioning costs are factored in). There is a wind power explosion across Middle America. Where did you get the information that solar is about to become a whole lot cheaper in 2 years? Someone told me recently that solar cells are expensive to dispose of at the end of their useful life. But, I haven't been able to verify that claim.

"It's a good thing that forward thinking people like Warren Buffett "

Yes it's a good thing but answer me this. Are you really prepared for the cost? The people are screaming at gas over 2$. Are you prepared to end social programs? Are you prepared to end the nonsense that you want? We can't build 2million dollar ski ramps for handicapped of 1 who selfishly demands access.

You ignore the social benefits to energy use. Go look at the countries that have little energy use and there is real hunger not obese people claiming they are deprived.

AGAIN I NOTE YOUR SO CALLED PROGRESSIVE PEOPLE ARE SILENT ON THE MOST POWERFUL TOOL FOR CUTTING BACK ON ENERGY. THEY NEVER SAY A WORD ABOUT THE CHEAPEST AND EASIEST AND CLEANEST TOOL AVAILABLE. tHE REASON THEY ARE SILENT IS BECAUSE THEY REALLY JUST WANT POWER NOT RESULTS.
