Until they do, they should have no say about matters when a Nation has to take unilateral to defend itself and prevent further attacks

The enemy of tomorrow won't be marching a million man army out there to do battle.

The enemy of today does not mind to blow himself up defending his homeland.

Can anyone explain how we expect to "win" against such a mindset?

Agreed, but these rules do not apply to Iraq, and the top brass knew it. The New Yorker has an article coming out which goes into detail about Rummy's defiance of the military establishment.

Again, I'll take the advice of combat vets over the Princeton boy any day of the week.
