Ed,

I also believe that the author overstated the peak in global oil production. Its coming but may take another 10 years. But the problem is not only on the supply side.

I have one thought in mind. China is growing very fast and its economy is 1/2 the size of USA. In 5-7 years in will the same size and probably more than double in 2020. This region is not the only source of growth for demand in natural resources.

In other words, I believe is the coming commodity boom that will be due to shortages. I therefore think the Oil & gas sector will go much higher. $28 per barrel is cheap oil long term.

Oil sands? Huge reserves but how are the economics with current O&G prices. Good enough to survive but not enough to provide decent returns to shareholders ?
