You need to do more homework on North Korea. Clinton had them contained. Once Bush came in rattling swords and calling them "evil", only then did NK become antagonizing and kick out inspectors. Dick Lugar (R) head of the Foreign Relations Committee in the Senate had steadfastly called for renewed unlateral talks with NK which Bushies oppose. Talking to NK doesn't cost us anything. Turning our backs on them could cost us a lot. And how did we make nice with China in the 70's? We started talking then went in with capitalism. If not for this, the Soviet Union might not have fallen. Time to make peace, not more enemies. We cannot afford them. And lose the word "liberal". Clinton has pretty moderate, even had a Republican Sec of Defence and Chief Of Staff. Also quit blaming Clinton in general. Bush had 9 months to say one word about terrorism until 9-11. He didn't, not a peep despite the many warning he got. Plenty of blame to go around. Bush's CIA and FBI too.
