Lizzie

I certainly understand your economic concerns. Where I don't concur is the blame being placed on Bush.

Unfortunately, we don't have the Great Communicator Ronald Reagan in office or even his experience to draw upon due to the Alzheimers.

Regarding boycotting----people are now so angry about the lack of overt support by France/Germany in our D.C. metro area that they are calling for boycotting goods from either.

I do hope you are wrong in assuming that this may be another Vietnam situation. There are those who believe this will be over swiftly.

Since you are involved in the business ---I suggest that you consider (and this is not tongue in cheek)---but a very sincere recommendation being a part of the rebuilding of industry in Iraq. There are people ready to rebuild and go to Iraq for that purpose.

Dear Lizzie: Its OK to blame Bush now, but I HOPE that if he pulls off this Iraqui situation well and converts them to an American loving democracy with plenty of money to turn into a shining star in the Middle East that you will give him CREDIT for that too. If he fails, you can say he made an expensive boondogle, but LETS WAIT AND SEE. jdn
