You mean an ex-president should try to cash in on his name like Bush Sr. did? So far as I know, Bush Sr. hasn't done a single thing for anyone but himself, corporations which pay him and his sons since he left office. You have a nerve criticizing Carter just because he has been very disappointed by Bush's hard right-wing policies.

Carter has selflessly helped more people in this world than any ex-president in history. He is the good side of America, the side the world loves. Bush is the opposite, the side of America people resent, fear and distrust.

Ford and Reagan never got philanthropic either though Reagan had Alzheimers so I guess that was difficult in his case. He gets a pass. Clinton is somewhere in the middle. And let me tell you, with all the Rush Limabaughs out there, we NEED Clinton to speak up. He's a great communicator, and he cares about the majority of Americans who are getting shafted by this administration.
