1. His pc has gone kaput lately. 2. He is not a registered user. Besides, as he does not intend to post as often as us, he is unwilling to pay a monthly subscription for the privilege of posting. Posters here long ago got on board SI free of charge. But that privilege has been withdrawn some time ago. So newcomers are required to pay about $35.00 per month (if I am not mistaken.) You may check this out yourself by, say, trying to assume a new identity. He wants to spend money to fix his pc first! PS. "There is usually more than what meets the eye."
