Last couple of days there have been bits on the radio here, of a family whose farm is on the end of a country road in New Brunswick, nobody ever cared before that the road curves slightly across the US border, just before the farm, but now some do care, apparently ... so INS or whoever stopped the lady this week, set up a surprise roadblock, she stopped for it but then on finding out what they were after she gunned the pickup a few metres ahead into her driveway ... now she can't leave, and nobody can come visit or bring supplies, unless they hike through the bush, presumably .... no one has said specifically, but it sounds like terrain dictated the placement of cheap roadbuilding years ago, there is probably rock in the way of straightening the road ...... anyway, you can't get to anywhere else from this road, just her farm which is off the end of it, and she sure didn't sound to me like she was making your Homeland Insecure

There was another one a few months ago, of some hunter getting nailed for going to a US gas station a few feet over the border, the station cannot be accessed from the US, only from NB, and it is the only station for some distance around .... but he didn't bother to drive a mile or so to check in with US customs first [they were closed anyway at that time of the morning, if memory serves], and he had a deer rifle in the pickup .... so they locked him up for some time, and the whole thing probably cost the foreign office more than he'll ever save in this life by eating venison

Selective Homophobia?

I find it interesting that a few Americans ( likely the sort who incessantly slander here on SI cause they can't muster a decent argument to save their lives )take to kicking around a few Canuckle Heads, while the Brits are largely regarded as their " Brother Liberators ".

Nothing could be further from the truth, since almost the exact percentage of Brits are against this adventure as us,but their Gov’t has gone directly against its constituents ,so it's OK?

But hey, why bother with reality when there are perfectly good tires to slash, eh? HA HA HA!!

PS.....NO ;-)
