room, I have had posts from you before so I'm taking your entire body of work into question when I respond. BTW it is easy enough to determine what "real" costs are to companies. Just look at their bank acct. If it is going up qtr after qtr then its a fairly safe bet they are not operating at a substantial loss (assuming no debt balloon is out there). Fairly simple, really.

If embittered folks manage to cook up some bogus expenses such as "opportunity costs" and call these things actual expenses (kindof like charging a landlord an "opportunity cost" expense on any unit that sits vacant) then it might be possible to create some illusion that the ebay's and google's of the world are actually bleeding red ink. But that nutty legislation won't last long, because somebody out there with some sense one day will say- hey, why is ebay's cash balance balooning even thought the company has posted nothing but losses for years? And then they will repeal the damage.
