You are imagining this "liberal education". Doesn't exist except in the minds of right-wing reactionaries and those who dont want kids to have sex education or know about condoms. If there are some wacky courses at some colleges, fine, doesn't mean you have to take them. The right-wing fears education in general because it opens up peoples minds, teaches them about the complexities of the real world and sometimes makes them realize the right-wing, especially the southern Baptist right-wing is full of it.
