The Pentagon has admitted there have been errant missiles. Missiles have gone astray and hit unintended places in Iran, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. The warheads on those missiles are not armed until they get near their targets. Of course a piece of metal moving hundreds of miles and hour can cause damage but my understanding is that they have mostly just made holes in the ground. Tim

Why is it a stretch for you to believe that a missile intended say for the Ministry of Communications hits a market place in a poor neighborhood by accident? It isn't a stretch; it could happen. But it is more likely that either (a) an Iraqi weapon went astray, or (b) Iraqis intentionally targeted their own neighborhood to have something to stir up the public with. Further, the DOD certainly seems credible when they say, "we don't believe that was our weapon". I believe the DOD before I do the Iraqi government. I'm sure you believe the Iraqi government first. Was it then or when the US fought a losing war in Vietnam It had nothing to do with Vietnam. It was precisely when I said it was. Yeah, there's jealousy but mostly anger, indignation and fear. Fear? I don't think so. They are jealous of what we have. They want to be treated with respect. And they love to see the US get "punched in the nose".
