I've been learning how to bake bread stuffs from scratch (not quite to the milling the grain yet, much less actually growing and harvesting it <g>), turn tough cuts of beef into rather nice dishes (so that I can participate in the 'substitution effect' as prices do their thing) and even a bit of gardening. As I've mentioned to Tip, the Amish may have it right for the next decade or two. In the meantime, I'm trying not to let despair win out over hope, though my investment thinking processes are pretty much paralyzed. Lots of sitting on my hands, waiting for clarity.
