The UN is extremely useful to us in these foreign endeavors. Dont discount or dismiss that. Losing UN support will cost US lives and billions of dollars. Two more weeks and Bush might have gotten the UN behind us but he didn't want them and stonewalled them. Diplomacy was severely lacking. But I guess Bush thought this would be such an easy war he didn't need anyone else. Not even Turkey. Sould have at least waited until we got Turkey aboard. That was a key strategic error. But maybe Bush wanted all the oil for himself. Whatever. Who knows what really goes on in their minds? They dont tell us.
