Cary, OT *** debacle?

The discussion you suggest belongs on the old AMAT thread. It may not be useful for investment decisions, but would be helpful for those struggling with the conflicting information we get. Yesterday we were told progress towards Baghdad would be on hold for a few days and one division was receiving only a single MRTE ration per day because of supply problems. I listened to a portion of Ari Fleischer's news conference Friday and the whole discussion consisted of questions about earlier government confidence the war would be very short. [remember the first day's 'decapitation attack']. Fleischer, of course, was prepared and countered that Bush and others had said last year it might be long and tough. But that's the fine print. At the beginning of the war that's not what was emphasized. This administration has a long history of changing the subject when questioned about their apparent mistakes. On second thought, that may be true for most administrations.
