Well said!! Unfortunately, many people don't have the time nor inclination to find this out for themselves. Its taken me quite awhile to sort through the mass amount of news and propaganda to formulate a similar opinion. It is so refreshing to hear from someone who sees the big picture as I do. <intentions> It's amazing how hard it is sometimes to really look at one's [my own included] intentions. It was very troublesome to listen to government officials talk about Muslim women and their plight trying to drum up support for both wars [Afgan & Iraq]. Really pretty sick if you think about it. Finally, I grow weary of those who insist that patriotism requires support for a misguided foreign policy that actually undermines our national security and destroys our credibility in the community of nations. The strength of our democracy is our empowered and concerned citizenry, not our ability to follow orders. Just wanted to give you my support on the above statement. I also grow weary of the flag wavers who label anyone not supporting the next foreign war a traitor. A true patriot does not have to support every foreign war that comes down the pike to be loyal to our country and support our troops, unlike the flag waving brainwashers would have everyone believe and like to force down our throats.... In fact, that type of bullying tactic is not what our country is all about. Just had to get that off my chest....
