McGovern never spouts "rubbish". You can disagree with him but he knows war and feels like most people did that the war would have been much wiser if and when we had full UN support, especially for the aftermath. The calling up of 100,000 news troops shows the Bushies miscalculated. So McGovern and others were right to critique the rush to war. And it was a rush, despite the "12 years, 18 resolutions" excuse. Those were UN resolutions, not US resolutions.
