the butt of the joke being a "dumb Polack.")

That dumb Pollack says that Iraq has bad weapons, what a goof, didn't get the conspiracy memo.

>but because they (Iraqis) are part of the Great Unwashed. >

I would think that Iraq (at least the cities) would be pretty rich with their oil wealth. More so without the sanctions.

I was really surprised to see Baghdad just before the bombing. It seemed like a really nice city. Now, here is the problem with US media. For all these years, I have not seen much on TV showing the real Iraq. Say people in Baghdad, walking around doing normal things like you and I do in the US. With nice highways, beautiful buildings - the kind you will see in cities in the United States.

All we see about the middle-east is the images of Palestinians throwing stones and Iraqi villages that suffered from chemical weapons twenty years ago.

Due to this media deficit, what kind of image does it create about Iraq in the minds of the ordinary American? The image that the ordinary american has about Iraq must be influencing the ordinary american's view of the US role in Iraq. There may be anti-war americans who are anti-war for the wrong reasons (Oh those poor starving Iraqis!). There may be the pro-war crowd who are pro-war due to the wrong reasons ( Look at those savages grabbing food from the Aid trucks. We need to civilize them).

Would anyone care to provide their perception of Iraq and its people other than the typical focus of the US media (Saddam, Saddam and more Saddam)?
