Nadine,
Tom Friedman had an interesting column this morning regarding the expansion of nato force outside of europe. NATO replacing both US and UN in peacekeeping role, starting now in afganistan and moving on to iraq next. French are very much against this but russians are looking to cooperate with nato on this. IMO it is a good idea, but pro-israel folks will one day be confronted with the choice of allowing NATO forces a role on the west bank. My gut says it would be a good thing if there is success first in afghanistan and iraq. Mike

I still don't think Iraq has anything to do with Israel.

Tony Blair is on record as saying that a moderate regime in Iraq would benefit Israel.
