I did know about AramCo, which is a short hand for Arab-American Company). But there are two things which I am not clear about. The first is the reference to a 60-year lease. This is news to me. The second is reference to "nationalization" of oil (also in your post). As I have understood the Saudi regime, the concept of "nation" is a rather odd way of describing them. More accurately the country is run as private enterprise of the House of Saud. And they of course see to the needs of public, but this is as much from the Arab tradition of generosity and what is expected from the rich elders as it is to keep the people content. Either way, I don' get the impression that there is a nationalistic theme in Saudi which somehow will revert the oil fields to the people. If you'd like to elaborate on this, I appreciate it.
