You wrote, "God is great."

You sound like a Moslem chanting, "Allah u Akhbar!!!"

IMHO, once the allies get to Baghdad, Qusai (Saddam's son) will very likely surrender or negotiate for an honorable way out. I mention Qusai because I believe Saddam is either dead or incapacitated by the recent bombing.

What I am saying is likely to occur because Qusai had reportedly urged his dad to go into exile before the ultimatum expired.

During the last couple of days, Rumsfeld was criticised for not supplying enough troops for the war. Now the story line is that all that talk about undermanning was a ploy to lure the Iraqis out and do something stupid. I don't believe that and I doubt very much if the Iraqis would fall for that. As Shimon Peres, a former Israeli minister said on CNN, "The Arab fighters are very tricky ........"

The Iraqis will be defeated. That's a foregone conclusion. In recent days, some folks said Saddam (if he were still alive) was adopting a Vietnam strategy. To me, any comparison of the Iraqis with Vietnamese is mistaken. The Vietnamese had a history of fighting wars for many centuries. Their past experience stood them in good stead against their enemy in the Vietnam War. But the Iraqis hardly had any fighting experience and, as their country is young, the Iraqis cannot be expected to exhibit the kind of fierce patriotism and nationalism that enabled the Vietnamese to win their wars.
