Interesting comment about Powell. I have four connections, one a retired senior management guy from military branch of Boeing who himself has a lot of military connections, second a Godson who is a captain in US Marine Corp, third a veteran special ops guy from first Gulf War who retired a major, fourth a cousin who works in civil service support branch supporting military ops now out of Utah, was at KellyAFB in San Antonio who all roundly despise Powell as an asskissing "finger in the wind to test the direction of the good air for himself" career military who did not have the balls to run last time because he thought/knew that he or his depression prone wife could not stand teh pressure of "running"...who knows. An impression I am struck with is that many military folks despise the man on a personal basis.
One thing many will agree on: Rumsfeld is an arrogant ass who manages the press briefings as if he were a Romanov deigning to grace those peasants with his presence.
Again I ask, where is Teddy Roosevelt of Barry Goldwater or Richard Lionheart when we need them. Lionheart lopped off the heads of 5000 muslims across a river for the Army of Allah to watch. Last night on CNN: there are Wahabi imams in the US Army. Can I ask why?
Or is that too much a threat to the ACLU or the First Amendment?
