Okay, if we'd actually taken 47 days instead, do you seriously believe that would somehow have translated into fewer casualties? The 47 days was a WAG only and beside the point. My post addressed unnecessary casualties. The blitzkreig on Baghdad was based on an assumption, the mistaken assumption that the Iraqis would offer token resistance at worst and flowers at best. You can be assured that this notion did not come from our military leadership. Why don't you put everyone who debates you on IGNORE? That way, you'd always seem to be right.
