Sorry to hear your neurons are still misfiring. As was stated, had the Normandy invasion been reported after a week the way this is being reported, it would have been considered a disaster. It was way behind schedule and was hitting unexpected problems. And soon ran into suply problems. Invasion of choice? You think Hitler picked the locations and date? And, of course, the US could have simply surrendered after the German declaration of war. So getting into the whole WAS a matter of choice. And the US made the correct ones. As it has now, in spite of what you and the rest of the kook fringe believe.
