Thanks. Yes might be a nice end of war bounce, but the near future is unpredictable. I assume Saddam will get killed but thought the same about Osama. And the tensions are rising to a fever pitch on the Arab street. Some big trrorist acts are possible in retailation for this war. Amazing, only Bush could get part of the world to root for Saddam Hussein. What a diplomat.

I've seen fortunes made with borrowed money betting on futures, grains mostly. Seen more fortunes lost the same way.

In the 50s my dad and 9 other guys put $10 large each into a grain elevator to play the grain market. $100,000 in 50s money. They doubled it and left it in, doubled it the next year. Oh vey, this is good. The guy doing the trades took his girl friend to South America plus the $400 large and lived well.
