Johnson like Bush served the oil and weapons industry. He was also compassionate, but only gradualy so. He was a hybrid product of his times. I'll always wonder if Texan interests weren't behind the killing of JFK, as they knew their man would be in power after his death. Something to consider. No coincidence it happened in Dallas, I believe. One thing I have told JF Kerry's people is to pleae make sure he has top bodyguards. A lot of extremist interests wont like Kerry coming into power one bit.
