elmat,
Toronto has a large Asian, especially Chinese population. Two travellers to China, an elderly woman and her adult son 44 died March 3 and March 14 respectively in Scarborough Grace hospital.

An infected person was transferred to another area hospital on March 16. That person was confirmed SARS on Thursday or Friday (I forget which) and died Saturday night as the 4th death. The 'contact' list has grown dramatically now and of course is rendered more vague. A public school was closed last Thursday.

Are your health authorities under threat of budget costs? Any word of trimming health costs? I thought I was cynical :o) nope.

As soon as the tourist highs season In Toronto business and vacation visits are important year round...

Nope, it's the real deal....and the beat goes on.

regards
Kastel CCC
