So what was your criticism of Rumsfeld? It sounds like you're now saying he's done what you would do.

The only specific criticism of Rumsfeld that I think I made in the previous string of posts was the alleged refusal to answer Bush's question. There have been a few people that have made up a bunch of stuff that I've said, but that's about it.

I don't think highly of Bush, but I do think he can handle the vagueness of estimates and predictions. It is his reponsibility to make the decision to take the troops into conflict. It's Rumsfeld's job to give him advice and recommendations and that includes what the military is planning for.
