Germany's got no veto power And Turkey does? Since when? Turkey's refusal to host 62,000 troops, as retired Gen. W. Clark said, will directly and significantly impact the US strategy and, possibly, the outcome of the war itself. It is a democratic country whose parliament VOTED against US army deployment from its territories, despite the USD 30 bn bait dangled before their eyes by the US. That is not "being Iraq's best friend". It is doing what THEY want to do, and not what the US wants them to do. Deal with it.
