If there was a credible counter to ex-patriots, I would be more skeptical. However, the only counter to them is the Iraqi government line.

The mass murder and mass disappearances withing Iraq, lend a great deal of credibility to the Iraqi ex-patriots' POV.

How do you know that? Would the Saudi or Iranian government publish a poll that shows its population is unhappy being under the thumb of a family or religious group. How about a poll of women's view of the current administration in Saudi Arabia?...lol that'll be the day...

I suspect you are correct, but I have a friend who has worked in Saudi Arabia for over 10 years who puts some government support down to a resignation of the populace... that there isn't anything any one can do with how things are run, so just keep a low profile and go with the flow.
