I have a small position in The India Fund and just received its shareholder ballot. IFN is proposing converting to an interval fund, with shareholders allowed to sell shares to the fund at/near NAV for a 2% fee.

I can see how this would tend to keep the discount at a minimum, but there are obvious inherent problems, too, including increased expenses and decreased liquidity.

What do you think?
