fwiw, I just got home, drove 30 miles roundtrip to work and back, and averaged better than 54 mpg.

My car can do 105 mph, and I feel safer in a Mack truck rather than a golf cart (my Hybrid Honda), but so far no accidents in my entire driving career.

I feel I can die in an auto accident driving in a fire truck or a Honda.

Environmentalists: SUVs cause war

Groups say better SUVs would end U.S.-Mideast conflicts; carmakers say they're doing what they can.
