I think North Korea is quiet because it's starting to realize that the way things are going, after the Iraq experience, the US will be very reluctant to invade another substantial, faraway country, especially one that's as well armed as NK -- compared to Iraq. Iran probably is feeling pretty safe too.

And perhaps now china is taking the US more seriously and trying to avert a war on the korean peninsula. Good side effect of this war perhaps. I wonder what the iranians and syrians are thinking/doing? My belief and hope is that they will be cautious. US will never win their hearts but perhaps their minds?? Reality bites in many ways.
