Jacob, I think you may be a little too bearish on the SOX but if the area of congestion between 285 and 278 fails to hold as support then I will agree with you. Take a look at this chart and imagine if you will the SOX at 278 with an RSI of 30 again:

If we get there we should be buying long positions no matter what is happening in Iraq because we may have started a new head and shoulders formation that could rally to a higher high than we set recently. The last 337.87 being the left shoulder.

The SMH may also be helpful. There is not much volume below 22 for the semiconductor holder in the last six months. If we dip that low with an RSI of 35 then it will also confirm a buying opportunity:
