I would agree lurqer...the Taliban does exist still...and will always....the most you can do ( as the British and Soviets found out ) is to minimize their effects in the region...most of that area...even Iraq...is Tribal by tradition...go back to the Treaties of the early 1900s to see how the Western world divided these lands as close to the Tribal boundaries as possible....to no avail...these lands will never be conquered and divided by westerners...not that I would ever assume we were attempting to do so...
