BTW: Has anybody read Barron's this week.

Barrons:When Intel was a true growth company in the mid-to-late 1990s, its annual option grants equaled a moderate 1% to 1.5% of its shares outstanding.

Carl, I tried to include a table from the article, but I couldn't line up the figures, even when using the "pre". Anyway, the table says Intel's options grants in fiscal 2002 relative to shares outstanding were 2.6%, and that this percentage is down from that same relative percentage in fiscal 2001, but still significantly higher than Intel's mid nineties grant rate of 1 to 1.5% of shares outstanding.

carl,

the lunch club bill is coming due...

biz.yahoo.com

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Intel Corp.'s chief executive made $17.6 million from exercising options last year, according to a regulatory filing Wednesday.

Craig Barrett, CEO of the semiconductor giant, was paid a salary of $610,000 in 2002 -- a raise of $35,000 from 2001 -- while his bonus remained at $1.1 million, the proxy said.

carl,

the 2002 lunch club giveaway is online.

Get the proxy...
intel.com

page 24 and 25 lists some very ugly stuff.

No wonder Barrett is whining.

A letter from Andy is begging everyone to vote against the new accounting proposals.

What a maroon.
