You mean the problem that the Democratic Party has lost relevance? After the White anger at the Democratic party due to LBJ's great society initiatives, no Democrat except from the South has stood a chance of winning the Presidency. The South has abandoned the Democratic party in droves. Especially Texas which coined the phrase yellow-dawg Denocrats. The South has also become accustomed to mixing politics and religion. It's a potent force that can easily explode. For no one kills more easily and more happily than those who do it for their righteous God. As it's happening now. No wonder that Dubya is asking our troops in this invasion to pray for him. And the prayer can be to not rely on your own understanding. "Pray that the President and his advisers will seek God and his wisdom daily and not rely on their own understanding". Keep killing in God's name so he will descend to earth and carry you to heaven for enduring Rapture. That cannot be any sane man's understanding. But what can be expected when one abandons reason for religion ? Wake up and smell Baghdad burning. And the rapture of your reason receding. abc.net.au
